Introduction to Forest Schools - Training Talk

This training talk will introduce you to Forest Schools as an approach to outdoor learning with children. It will give you an overview of what Forest School training entails and explain some of the aspects covered by the qualification. It will explain how Forest School training will give you the confidence to start exploring the outdoors with the children in your care and she’ll share her passion for knots, hitches and tools.

By the end of this course you will be able to:
1. Describe the content of Forest School training
2. Understand how Forest School training can help you use outdoor learning in your setting
3. Explain the difference between Forest School Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications and their relevance to you and your setting
4. Tie some knots and hitches, as demonstrated by Kate and understand their basic use
